With 30 years of experience Siderpali maintenance is the division of Mitas Siderpali highly specialized in the installation and maintenance of “Mobile-crown lighting” and “Fixed Platform”. The installation and maintenance of lighthouse towers also include all documentation that complies with the regulations on the prevention and safeguarding of the safety and health of persons. The service is managed by highly qualified personnel, both for mechanical and electrical interventions. WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
Administrators of Public Bodies and Private Companies, who are liable for civil and criminal damages caused by the plant to property and/or persons, thus creating the need to arrange for appropriate interventions using qualified operators to reduce their risks. TECHNICAL INSPECTION
In case of doubts about the type or the conditions of use, or simply on request, Siderpali maintenance is available to send a Technical Manager to the site, to check the condition of wear of the towers on which maintenance is requested. The purpose of the visit is to provide the Customer with a detailed and personalized report on the situation of the installation and the activities necessary to restore the state of safety.
CORRUPTION OR UPGRADE
During Scheduled Maintenance operations, free replacement of normal wear components provided in maintenance packages are included. If other parts need to be replaced for damage or upgrade, they will be charged according to the price list in force at the time of the intervention.
CONSULTANCY SERVICES
For all cases other than those described above or even on simple request, Siderpali Maintenance is available to send a Technical Manager to the Customer’s premises in order to provide technical information on the operation of the towers of its own production or possibly instruct local operators on the main rules of use and maintenance. Timing and costs of these interventions are agreed with Siderpali maintenance, customer service.
Illuminating bodies
Proposed maintenance packages always include the lighting maintenance service which provides:
· External cleaning of the glass of the illuminating bodies
· Visual inspection of electrical connections
· Visual inspection of headlamp attachment systems
· Abnormality reporting
It is possible to combine the proposed maintenance packages, also the energy efficiency with interventions aimed at replacing the old projectors with LED projectors, providing the following services:

Instrumental controls on towers
It consists of the instrumental controls, which are designed to check the stability and safety of the load-bearing structure (stem, flanges, door reinforcements, hinges, bolts, etc). Checks are carried out using diagnostic equipment capable of detecting the wear and tear of materials and processes (integrity of galvanizing coating and casing sheets, flanges, reinforcements, etc.). A report of the instrumental checks carried out is issued for each facility audited. Once the tower has been restored to its original efficiency, it is recommended to implement an annual Routine Mechanical Maintenance cycle and perform an Extraordinary Mechanical Review every 5 years combined with a structural check. N.B. IIn the mobile-crown lighting tower, for maintenance, the lift hoist is necessary. For each model fitted, a User and Maintenance Manual is provided, which is necessary and useful to refer to for the related maintenance operations.
Requirements for maintenance organizations
The ownership of the lighting tower,, as the holder of the legal duty to ensure the perfect state of maintenance of the plant, also in accordance with art. 26 of the Legislative Decree. 81/08, must verify that the company in charge of carrying out the maintenance has a specific professional competence and a specific technical competence, both electrical and mechanical, in the field of mobile crown lighting tower, in compliance with the regulations in force in the sector.
Using maintenance service through a company operating under the above criteria will have a twofold advantage for the owner:
· It will minimize the risk of poor maintenance due to inadequacy of its staff;
· It will demonstrate that, even in the light of possible casualties, the owner has made
every effort to avoid any possible risk, taking all the measures at his disposal (by entrusting a company highly specialized and qualified in the specific area of maintenance service). The latter aspect will play an important role in protecting in the event of an accident during the installation of the lighting tower.
